Weekly Blog Roundup - Easy Sauces and Dips Recipes - Part 1

Weekly Blog Roundup - Easy Sauces and Dips Recipes - Part 1

Welcome to another recipe roundup! I wanted to make a roundup of photography tips for beginners, but along the way it became a sauces and dips roundup. I am a big fan of sauces and dips; we have a whole fridge compartment dedicated to sauces, and I enjoy making my own. We have traditional ones like BBQ sauce, ketchup, honey mustard, and also some not that traditional (or at least not for me, being a foreigner in South Africa), like Peri-Peri sauce (a very spicy and flavorful hot sauce very popular here in South Africa) and Sweet Chili sauce, both of them new to me.

I noticed how many of these recipes have names in Spanish, and how many of them use ingredients typical from Central and South America. Many of them keep the Spanish word "salsa" instead of "sauce", and I was wondering why is that? I'm a very curious person so I looked for the origins of salsa and found a very interesting article about it on Wikipedia.

One of these recipes talks about "fried yucca", something that is very common in my country. I think it is wonderful how much the Latin culture has influenced how we eat today!

I found so many recipes that next week we will have part 2! Let us start with two recipes from my own blog:
