2017 FoodieFoodMood's Most Popular Recipes

Happy New Year, friends! I hope this year brings you everything your heart desires. I am very excited that in just 3 months we will be meeting our baby girl! How time flies!

I am also excited as even though FoodieFoodMood is only 7 months old is performing so well that not even I can believe it. It's been a lot of hard work but I feel so rewarded and accomplished by having this blog. It is my creative outlet and definitely a labour of love! Because of that, I decided to bring you the most popular recipes of 2017, after all, none of you would be possible without you!

So here it is, a list of the most popular post on FoodieFoodMood, month by month during 2017!

June 2017: How to make Fluffy Scrambled Eggs

I started to plan this food blog in January 2017. I read so much and tried to learn as much as possible and then 5 months later I realized that you don't really  need to have a fully functional blog to get started. So I posted the 3 recipes I had at the moment and went live. Thanks to Stumble Upon this scrambled eggs recipe was the most popular in June. They are a personal favorite, by the way!

July 2017: Street Food from Around the World

At the beginning of my food blogger life I was posting 3 times a week: 2 times with my original content and once a week I made a point of collaborating with other bloggers. The response was fantastic! I have met very supportive people in this industry. I had to slow down due to my pregnancy to posting once a week, but I hope I can go back to the recipe roundups in 2018.

August 2017: No Bake Desserts

We found out that we were expecting on July 31st, which felt like a birthday present as my birthday is on August 2nd. It was a very happy event since we were almost convinced that we would never be able to have kids.

September 2017: Costa Rican Gallo Pinto

During the month of September we celebrate in Costa Rica Independence Day on September 15th. About those dates I started to feel very home sick as it was dawning on me that I might not be able to travel at the end of the year (like I always do) to spend the holidays with my family. So the only way I could find to cope was to try to recreate some traditional foods that would make me feel at home. This recipe belongs to both my mom and my niece!

October 2017: Shanghai Noodles

This is where I started to get weird cravings, so I started to make food just to satisfy them! October was also the month where I started to see a little increase in my pageviews, and also the month where I started to pay attention to SEO. Traffic has been growing slowly but consistenly since then!

November 2017: Pizza Bread with Bacon and Herbs

See, I told you about the cravings. But it was just for a few months; these days that I am already in the third trimester I have a desire of more normal stuff, like cheeswhiz (or like my husband call it, "plastic cheese") and crackers.

December 2017: Christmas Jello

Of course the most popular post of December had to be a Christmas recipe (and the only one, by the way). I only posted twice in December as I decided to take a proper break and only work on promotional stuff for the blog. But despite that, this Christmas Jello recipe was both the most popular in December and the most popular ever!
